Following last night's action, the Yankees are still 1.5 games behind the Cyclones after beating Tri-City 12-3.
Follow Auburn's loss last night to Jamestown, the Doubledays are 46-28, one behind the Cyclones in the win column, but three behind in the loss column. The Cyclones are now guaranteed to finish with a better record than Auburn. If the Cyclones finish ahead of the Yankees, they are guaranteed homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. The magic number is now 1, meaning that Brooklyn clinches with a Cyclones win or a Yankees loss. Both teams have 2 games left on their schedule. |
